Rewarding Nursing Assistants - Letting Them Know They Are Important!
In a world where the average lifespan continues to increase, it’s even more important that we take the opportunity to celebrate the people who have invested their working lives in helping with our health care.
In the days ahead, we’re particularly mindful of a group that may not always stand out—but they should. They’re nursing assistants and there’s an entire seven days—National Nursing Assistants’ Week (June 12-19)—set aside to do just that.
People with Canadian organizations that enjoy the services of a nursing assistant can set a new bar when it comes to recognition by reaching out to National Gift Card with branded recognition featuring Starbucks or the Ultimate Dining Card (featuring nine favourite Canadian restaurant experiences, including Swiss Chalet, Harvey’s, and Montana’s). And who doesn’t like to eat out?
The fact is that nursing assistants are more important than they’ve ever been as our society successfully ages.
This year is the 39th annual celebration of National Nursing Assistants’ Week with the National Network of Career Nursing Assistants (www.cna-network.org) suggesting the theme: “Nursing Assistants—I Choose Respect.”
Thousands of people, including, of course, nursing assistants themselves, will be involved in recognition events and educational activities.
Your “thank you” with a gift card from National Gift Card, branded with either Starbucks or the Ultimate Dining Card, could be “just the thing” to have your organization stand out in the mind of your favourite nursing assistant.
Have fun this year and “thank you” to all the nursing assistants for the good work you do, 52 weeks a year.
